About Me
About Me
Hi, I'm Eric Shteremberg, a local SoCal tennis player, student, and entrepreneur passionate about connecting athletes and building ideas from the ground up.
As someone who's spent most of his life training and competing across San Diego, one of the biggest challenges I've faced has always been finding reliable hitting partners. I've bounced between college pros, high schoolers, and even middle school standouts, often dealing with last-minute cancellations or changes.
That problem sparked an idea.
In late 2024, my associate (a more experienced coder) and I started developing Coachise. At the time, I barely knew how to code, but I didn't want to just be the "ideas guy." I wanted to understand how everything worked behind the scenes. The late nights, the endless debugging, and the constant trial and error were brutal at first, but eventually, the frustration turned into fascination.
Learning to code while building something I truly cared about showed me how rewarding it can be to bring an idea to life through persistence and patience.
What Is Coachise
Coachise is a networking platform designed to help tennis players find hitting partners, coaches, and lessons through an interactive, location-based system.
Once registered, users can browse through nearby high school, college, and adult hitters, filtering by price, experience, and availability. Whether you're a college player looking to earn money, or someone trying to find consistent practice partners, Coachise makes it simple, fast, and organized.
Users discover Coachise through our partnerships with local clubs, college rosters, and high-level juniors across San Diego County and beyond. It's like a hybrid between LinkedIn and DoorDash, but for tennis players.
Now, with over a dozen college athletes and a growing base of local juniors on board, Coachise is more than just an app. It's a way to bring together the tennis community—helping players connect, train, and grow.
